Published in 1964 by the U.S. Armed Forces Information and Education, Department of Defense, this 64-page booklet (Series DoD PG-6) covered everything from must-see tourist destinations in Italy to uniforms of the Italian military. Containing maps and photographs, the booklet was designed for American armed forces serving in Italy under NATO. It admonishes soldiers that “Italy deserves the respect of all its NATO partners.”
